MODLAN V81 · RELIABILITY VERIFICATION

Don't claim resilience. Exercise it.

V81 converts MODLAN's reliability doctrine into a verification fabric: synthetic probes, controlled fault injection, circuit and queue checks, failure budgets, recovery drills, topology-aware impact analysis, and evidence-backed verification states.

01

SOURCE-BOUND

A reliability assertion is not VERIFIED until its evidence identifies the observed source and environment.

02

BLAST-RADIUS LIMITED

Failure injection must declare and enforce a synthetic boundary before pressure is introduced.

03

TRACE-PRESERVING

Detection, containment, recovery, replay, and final verification remain correlated as one exercise.

04

AUTHORITY-AWARE

Recovery and replay actions inherit the V80 object, workspace, role, and authorization context.

05

BUDGET-GOVERNED

Service objectives become operational only when error-budget consumption changes release or remediation behavior.

V81 · RELIABILITY VERIFICATION COMMAND

Reliability becomes credible when it is exercised.

Run a public-safe synthetic resilience sequence, inspect probes and budgets, and walk recovery doctrine without generating operational traffic or storing customer data.

OBJECT-AWARE FAILURE TOPOLOGY

See technical failure as business impact.

V81 reuses the V80 enterprise object model so a failing dependency can be reasoned about as an Integration, Service, Workflow, Assignment, Incident, and ultimately Program impact—not merely a red metric.

DEPENDENCY

VERIFICATION STATE MODEL

Configured is not verified.

V81 separates control existence from proof. A future production binding should progress through explicit states rather than turning configuration into an automatic green indicator.

CONFIGURED

Policy, target, owner, assertion and safe test boundary exist.

EXERCISED

A bounded test or drill ran and produced correlated observations.

VERIFIED

Required assertions passed against an identified source and environment.

FAILED

One or more assertions failed, evidence is retained, and remediation is required.

V79 → V81

Reliability now has a proof model.

V79 defined idempotency, retries, circuits, dead letters, degraded mode, heartbeats, service objectives, and replay. V81 adds the controlled exercises and evidence semantics needed to demonstrate that those controls can actually participate in containment and recovery.

NEXT BUILD · V82

Multi-Tenant Assurance I.

V82 can reuse V80 object context and V81 verification semantics to deepen tenant-boundary negative tests, ownership verification, service isolation, and authorization regression without weakening the public/protected boundary.
