A role or privileged credential does not grant access outside an explicitly resolved tenant/object authority chain.
MODLAN V82 · MULTI-TENANT ASSURANCE I
Isolation is an invariant.
V82 challenges the tenant boundary across objects, commands, workflows, evidence, exports and privileged services. It combines expected-deny testing, ownership semantics, async context preservation and evidence-backed verification into one enterprise assurance plane.
ISOLATION DOCTRINE
Privileged does not mean omnitenant.
V82 treats tenant authority as a server-resolved business boundary. Elevated roles, service credentials, URLs, request bodies and queue payloads cannot silently widen it.
Tenant authority is derived from authenticated server context and authoritative object relationships, not client-supplied tenant identifiers.
Isolation is proven with expected-deny cases across reads, writes, links, exports, workflows, evidence, services, and ownership changes.
Tenant scope survives queues, retries, replay, background work, cache derivation, and recovery operations.
A tenant control is VERIFIED only when a source-bound exercise produces correlated proof of the expected allow/deny result.
Administrative capability remains policy-governed; elevated role alone must not silently erase business tenant boundaries.
V82 · TENANT ASSURANCE COMMAND
Challenge the boundary. Preserve the tenant.
Operate a synthetic two-tenant laboratory for expected-deny tests, ownership semantics, async/service isolation, and authorization regression without customer identifiers, operational traffic, or persistent state.
DENY before object payload is returned
Investigation · READ · evidence: actor + tenant context + object ref + policy + denial correlation
Identifier substitution
ENTRY: Authorized Tenant A object deep link
- 01replace object id with Tenant B id

- AUTHORITY
- Tenant-scoped system of record
- INHERITANCE
- Assignment and Investigation inherit tenant from authoritative claim/program context.
- TRANSFER
- No implicit transfer. Explicit migration authority and audit evidence required.
- FORBIDDEN
- Client-supplied tenant_id may not override authoritative ownership.
Tenant-bound job envelope
ASYNC WORKEREvery durable job carries an authoritative tenant binding separate from untrusted payload fields.
FAIL CLOSED: Reject / quarantine jobs with missing, conflicting, or unverifiable tenant scope.
EVIDENCE: job id + service identity + authoritative tenant + payload tenant + decision01Synthetic Tenant A / Tenant B laboratory armed. No customer tenant is connected.
TENANT AUTHORITY GRAPH
Context may flow. Authority may not leak.
V82 visualizes tenant authority as an invariant across identity, objects, workflows, evidence and background services. The foreign-tenant edge stays deny-by-default even when roles are elevated.
Workflow A-14
TENANT A · INHERITED CONTEXTThis node may participate in Tenant A context only after server-side authorization resolves the actor, object, role and command.
- CLIENT TENANT FIELD
- never authoritative
- ADMIN ROLE
- does not erase tenant boundary
- ASYNC WORK
- must preserve tenant envelope
- VERIFIED
- requires expected-deny evidence
VERIFICATION STATE
Designed controls become credible through expected-deny proof.
V82 inherits V81's evidence discipline. A tenant boundary can be DESIGNED or EXERCISED without being VERIFIED. Verification requires source-bound evidence showing that the expected authorization outcome occurred in the identified environment.
Boundary rule, authoritative source, command and expected outcome are defined.
A bounded synthetic allow/deny case ran against the intended control surface.
Source-bound evidence proves the expected tenant result with correlation.
Unexpected access, mutation, link, export or service scope requires containment and remediation.
V80 → V82
The object model now carries tenant authority.
V80 normalized objects, roles, workspaces, commands and context. V82 adds tenant authority as a non-negotiable dimension across every protected object relationship and execution path.
NEXT BUILD · V83
Multi-Tenant Assurance II.
V83 can stress-test privileged paths, support workflows, background jobs, exports, integrations, impersonation boundaries, tenant migrations, and deeper cross-tenant negative cases against the V82 isolation model.
